Review
-
topics: everything in course, with an emphasis on topics since Prelim 2
-
more details: short answer questions (fundamentals, some recent definitions),
asymptotic complexity (see Prelim 2), lists, trees, iterators, (I might
lump lists, trees, and/or iterators into 1 problem -- see Prelim 2), hashing
(see last exercise and A6), sequence structures (either as a separate problem
and/or used for a graph problem), graphs (maybe two problems -- something
without programming and something with programming.
-
what I won't ask: a Prelim 1-style inheritance problem (though inheritance
is used throughout the exam), parsing (Prelim 1 covered sufficiently, though
you need to thoroughly understand recursion), induction proof, GUIs (Prelim
2 sufficed).
-
review session: Sunday, May 11, 1:30-3:00 pm, UP B17
-
review material: example final exam
(includes solutions)

To submit a final exam regrade request, do the following:
-
Wait until the second week of classes.
-
Bring a valid form of identification to the consulting office posted consulting
hours (see current CS211 website).
-
Ask a consultant to review your final. The exam must stay in the room.
-
Fill out a regrade form, which you will find outside of 303 Upson. If you
wish to obtain your new grade by e-mail, please state that request.
-
Give the form to the consultant, who will log the request and alert the
former instructor of the request.
-
Regrades are usually processed within one week. You will have to return
to the consulting office if you did not give permission for us to e-mail
you the grade, as stated above.
