We're aware of the situation. We'll arrange something.
Games! I've added the website where you access some MATLAB games, including Tetris from lecture. See our MATLAB resources link.
MATLAB

A student pointed out to me that CIT didn't install much of it's "?" help. But you can still access all of it for free! Go to my MATLAB Software Resources link (on the left). Check out the section called Public.

TA Evaluations EVALUATE YOUR TA AND WIN A PRIZE
Random prizes will be awarded for completing the on-line TA Evaluation
survey. Evaluate all of your Engineering TAs and maximize your
chances of winning. The survey will be active from Monday, February
16 through Friday, February 27. Go to:

http://www.engineering.cornell.edu/taeval/survey.cfm

To make the process easier, make sure you have the following
information at hand: TA name, course department, and course name.
Once you have completed the survey, watch to see if you receive a
special code upon submission that identifies you as a prizewinner.
Your anonymous evaluation and feedback goes to your TA and is used by
the Engineering TA Development Program to improve the quality of
teaching in the College. Good luck, and thanks for helping your TAs.
Sun

notes
readings
updated in Lecture Notes -- I shuffled the upcoming topics around a bit
labs! Yes, still load balancing. We just need a bit more tweaking. About 10 people from 2:30 need to go to another time. The 1:25 and 3:35 slots have openings. Everyone else please stay where you are if possible. Note that 1:25 is split between the Red and Blue Rooms. Some people asked about formally adding/dropping with registrar. At this point we have to handle it internally.
lab attendance Some people didn't see the announcements in lecture -- attendance is monitored by the submission of the exercises. (The TAs asked me to remind everyone.)
Thu
2/12
partners we'll be e-mailing the recent group of people -- some students noted that they asked but didn't get an e-mail -- I think they may have put their request on the quiz, which means we likely missed it. If you were missed somehow, please post a message on the Newsgroup -- hopefully that will catch the remaining persons (you can always post a message there -- if people drop/change partners, it's a great way to make a new one)
Tue
2/10
lecture
notes
posted, plus all of my example programs (plus a bit more) -- sorry again about the copier
I.S. MAJOR! The Information Science Undergrad Program OPEN HOUSE is tomorrow (Wed, 2/11), 3:30-5:30pm, 301 College Ave. They will not only provide snacks, but talk about the new I.S. majors in Engineering, A&S, and CALS. It's a great opportunity to meet students, faculty, and staff in I.S.
Fri
2/6
A2 posted! Note that you should finish the chapter 1 and 2 problems before attempting the others. We'll be finishing the material for the rest of the problems this coming week. I do not recommend waiting to do everything all at once.
e-mail policy Kelly asks that you indicate *which* course you're in if you e-mail her. She has other professors with other courses...uh oh...gotta add even more to Syllabus now :-)
Wed
2/4
A1, E1
due dates
I hope everyone posts their solutions tonight. But, my staff and I need time to reorganize schedules because of the lab situation. So, I've changed the A1 and E1 due dates. HOWEVER: I STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU STILL FINISH THIS WORK ASAP SO THAT YOU DO NOT GET BEHIND.
Tue
2/3
Sections! You MUST read the e-mail I sent from CMS. 12:20 people will either go to Upson B7 or the Blue Room...if the Blue Room is full at 12:20, go to Upson. The 1:25 slot is harder, because right now I have no alternative space...30 of you need to try another section...even 12:20. I have to wait for official word tomorrow from the registrar how they wish to proceed -- for now, please bear with me.
E1 (from lab!) posted in Exercises
