consultant!
Did you get help from the consultants this year and now want to help future students? Do you think you can make consulting more valuable? Consider becoming a CS100M consultant after you take CS211! (For exceptional candidates we might waive the CS211 requirement.) This is an opportunity to help others, augment your resume, and get paid! and methods
Here is the list of functions and methods that may be useful for the exam. This list will appear on the first page of the exam. You will not need all of them!
  • MATLAB: max, min, sum, mod, rand, ceil, floor, find, zeros, ones, length, size, fprintf, disp
  • Java:
    Math class: abs, pow, sqrt, random, floor, min, max
    String class: length, equals, charAt, indexOf, toLowerCase
    System class: print, println
    Keyboard class: readInt, readDouble, readBoolean, readString

12/8 P6 regrade request All regrade request for P6 are due by the end of Consulting hours on 12/9.

Prof. Fan and some TA have changed their office hours during study week. Please see the schedule.

12/2 R Course grade Several students asked about the "passing grade." This is determined by your College and/or Major. Some require a "C-" to be passing while others will accept a "D" (considered "marginal" in general).
We anticipate that grades will be available on CMS by the end of the final exam period. Grades will not be emailed. Official grades will be available on Just the Facts in January. You may view your final exam paper next semester (spring). How, when, and where? Read the information on the Exams link (near the bottom).

Last chance to collect Exams UP363C. Regular hours (2-4:30 M-F) will be held through Fri., Dec.3rd. In addition, you will be able to collect exams on Wed., Dec. 8, 10am - 3pm.

11/30 T Optional MATLAB session by ASME Students in ASME will offer two MATLAB tutorials on non-CS100 topics (e.g., doing symbolic algebra and solving ODEs using MATLAB built-in functions). These tutorials may be of interest to those intending to major in M&AE.

11/29 M P5 regrades The last day for submitting Project 5 regrade requests is Wednesday 12/1. Bring your request to UP B7 lab during consulting hours.
11/29 M OOP Review On 11/30, Tuesday, 7-7:50pm, we will have a help session on Java OOP. We especially encourage the students who had difficulties with Project 5 and/or the OOP question on Prelim 3 to attend. Location: Carol Tatkon Center Rm 3330 (Classroom) in Balch Hall.
