Discussion class on Wednesday September 12 to be informal

I have received requests from two members of the class whom have been unable to prepare for the class because of the stress of the recent events in New York and Washington.  On the assumption that other people are under the same stresses, the calls this evening will be informal.  I will lead a general discussion of the topics, but attendance will be optional, there will not be the usual set of questions and no record will be taken of participation.

9/12/01

Change in room for Wednesday classes

From September 12, the Wednesday evening classes will be in Hollister 110.

Programming in Perl

Assignments 2, 3 and 4 require programs to be written in Perl.  An introduction to programming in Perl will be given in the evening classes at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays September 19 and October 3.

These classes are optional.  There will not be regular discussion classes on these dates.

Materials about Perl and further information about these classes will be posted on the course web site.
